  Zen says that enlightenment cannot be communicated, and that where words exist, enlightenment cannot – simply because answering a question completely defeats any communication of enlightenment. Like you’re trying to point a finger at the moon, and the person thinks that the appearance of your finger can give him some idea of what the moon looks like. But we still need a master to guide us.

  I have none, and no money or space-time to procure one. So I’ll just try to read and get by.
